The Foiling Press – April 2026 Recap – Spring is here, the weather windows are opening up, customers are enjoying their 35IFCs, and the shop has been moving full steam ahead. We’ve got another completed 35IFC heading to the Bahamas, multiple builds progressing rapidly through rigging, and an exciting international project continuing to take shape. March was an absolute blur, so much so that we didn’t have time to drop an update – sorry about that! Anyway, we’re back at it so let’s jump into this past month’s updates!
Hull #27 – Completed & Bahamas Bound!
Hull 27 is officially complete and will be heading to the Bahamas shortly, ready for bluewater adventures and serious fishing.
This build came out absolutely stunning, featuring:
- Twin Mercury 350 V10 outboards delivering incredible performance
- Garmin electronics package with open-array radar
- Seakeeper gyro stabilization
- SIONYX night vision system
- JL Audio sound system
- Rodan trolling motor
- Beautiful tan and gray accent package throughout the boat
This one turned out incredibly clean, and we can’t wait to see it start making memories in the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas. Stay tuned—Nick and Jeffrey will be heading East to the islands soon to film a full walkthrough video on this rig. May even have to do some fishing and spearfishing, for marketing purposes, of course!
Hull #28: Final Rigging Underway
Hull 28 is in the final rigging stages and moving quickly toward the finish line.
- The liner was bonded into the hull last week
- The cap is fully rigged and nearly ready for installation this week
- The console and hardtop are currently being rigged
- Metalwork is out for powder coating
From this point forward, things move fast—this build is going to come together very quickly and should make major progress over the coming weeks.
Hull #29: Progressing through Finishing!
Hull 29 now has all fiberglass parts complete and is making its way through final finishing. With the structural work wrapped up, this build will soon begin transitioning toward assembly and rigging as momentum continues to build in the shop.
Hull #30: Australia Build Underway!
Hull 30 has officially started production with small parts already in progress. This will be a particularly unique project as it is headed to Australia, where it will operate as a charter vessel. We’ve been working extensively with an Australian surveyor to ensure this build will meet and exceed all required standards for commercial charter operations down under.
It’s an exciting challenge for the team, and we’re looking forward to sharing more details as this international build progresses.
April and May are some of the best months of the year for boating and fishing (when it’s not raining)! The Ballards crushed some solid mahi down in Key West aboard hull #21, the crew aboard DMFD Life (Hull #25) have been putting yellowfin tuna and mahi in the box consistently during their charters (watch the YouTube video here), and Hull #18 “The Deep End” has been making long runs out into the gulf to put species like barrelfish, alfonsino, and big red grouper in the boat!
