LEADERSHIP

OWNER & CEO
Victor Insetta
Victor Insetta, the founder and CEO of INSETTA Boatworks, found his passion for speed at just 15 years old when he built his first racing boat. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he attended Brooklyn Technical High School where he not only learned academics, but also hands-on craftsmanship. After high school, he enrolled at Brooklyn College to double major in Physics and Economics.
In 1964, Victor founded American Technical Ceramics (ATC) with an initial investment of just $100. From humble beginnings, he grew ATC into a company with $100 million in annual revenue that produced micro-miniature microwave components and circuits for space probes, satellites, 3G infrastructure, missiles, and medical applications. ATC’s components outperformed the competition in function, efficiency, and reliability.

Forty years later, Victor sold ATC and began cruising extensively in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Mediterranean waters on both large motor yachts and sailboats. At the time, he owned several deep-Vs, tunnel hulls, and performance catamarans, and he even built several hulls to meet his specific wants and satisfy his need for speed – but it was the memories made over the years cruising the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans on The Lady Diane that inspired the INSETTA 45.
The Lady Diane was a 125-foot full walk-around yacht. She had plenty of deck space, a flying bridge over an enclosed wheelhouse, and a huge aft cockpit with walk-through transom to a swim platform.
Memories on the Lady Diane
“Standing on the bow pulpit, we watched pairs of dolphins riding our bow waves, while others performed acrobatics, vaulting off our stern wake. We spent many glorious days fishing, diving, swimming, island hopping, exploring, and staying up late talking and stargazing.”
Victor on the INSETTA 45
“I realized that for others to enjoy unforgettable, magical days like these, they’d need a rugged, fast, shoal draft cat with exceptional range to access remote areas quickly and safely. The center-console configuration’s walk-around open deck, with available second helm over the enclosable main helm, provides the comfort and openness I originally fell in love with.”
“I designed the INSETTA 45 for catching pelagic fish, diving, and offshore and inshore fun, with standard amenities and custom features – heads, shower, air conditioning and heat, galley, and more – that make her more of a mini-yacht than a center-console.”
