The Foiling Press – July 2025 – This past month has been absolutely incredible , busy, but incredible! There’s been so much going on in the shop and behind the scenes, it’s made it difficult to sit down and get this newsletter written up. We’ve got 4 boats going and many firsts, including the first Insetta with a tower, the first with Raymarine electronics, and the first with Honda Outboards and an updated cockpit arrangement! The tower build has required some fine-tuning to really get it perfect for the owners, and the crew was giving 110% to get this thing dialed in because we knew the boys up in Hilton Head were eagerly awaiting this build!
While that was going on, the sales team had a successful trip down to Punta Gorda, FL to run two full days of private demos and spend some time with our customers aboard Hull #20. The guys dodged afternoon storms to take a bunch of awesome prospective customers out for rides, and we’re happy to say that some of those folks have joined the Insetta Family and secured their spot on the build 35IFC list! If you didn’t catch this note from last month’s newsletter, we’ve made several changes to further refine the 35IFC, the biggest being our latest Hydrofoil design which we believe to be the best design yet! Several of our passengers had been on early versions of the 35IFC and were extremely impressed.
While all of this was happening, our executive team has been planning for the future. Working on new projects on the 35IFC platform for commercial applications, and refining design elements for the next model in line, the 43IFC!!!! We’ll share some renderings below as we get into our build updates and news, enjoy!
Hull #22: Delivered!
This past weekend, Hull #22 officially made the journey north from St. Mary’s up to Hilton Head to be delivered to its owner. It’s been a very busy few weeks dialing in her custom foldable tower and water testing to ensure the Mercury V10 400R’s were performing to our standards. We haven’t had the opportunity to film a full walkthrough video yet, but we expect to release one in the coming months. For the time being, give this brief walkthrough video a watch!
During testing, she passed with flying colors. Topping out at 63 MPH at 0.95 MPG and comfortably cruising ~40 MPH at 1.7 MPG with 200 gallons of fuel and 5 passengers. We expected the additional weight and drag of the tower to reduce our economy slightly, but overall we are stoked with the performance (and the view from the tower is going to be great for spotting fish). We can’t wait to watch the Davis family make many memories aboard this beauty!
Hull #21: Final Stages of Rigging
Hull #21 is in the final stages of rigging and slated to hit the water this week for testing! She’s equipped with Raymarine Electronics, Suzuki power, and is a clean and simple build that will be tearing up the fishing grounds from Southwest Florida down to Key West. The great part about building an Insetta is choosing exactly what you want, that way you get exactly what you need. This particular boat is set up to be functional, easy to maintain, and an long-range fish slaying machine – Dry Tortugas trips are in her future!
Hull #23: Seafoam Green Honda Build in Progress!
We’ve heard a lot of good things about Honda’s new 350’s and were extremely excited to see what type of performance we’re going to get out of this power package! Her hull is infused and has the infused stringer and bulkhead grid bonded in. All other fiberglass parts, big and small, are infused and ready to be installed. While the fuel tanks, foil, and below-deck rigging is going in, the cap and liner are being prepared. Everything will come together for bonding shortly and this build is going to fly together!
Hull #24: Hull Infusion This Week!
Hull 24’s medium and small fiberglass parts are all infused. Bulkheads, stringers, coolers, hatches and more are ready to roll and the hull is gelled, skinned, and being infused this week! The cap and liner are being prepped for infusion this month, so by the end of the month, all fiberglass parts will be built, and it’s straight to rigging after that.
Hull #25: Initial Phase
Nothing crazy to talk about (yet) for Hull #25 – we’re getting a head start infusing small parts!
The Laquis crew had an epic trip down to the Dry Tortugas – covering over 400 miles round trip from Ft Myers, they crushed some fish on Rod & Reel and with the spearguns!
Can’t forget about our very own Jeffrey Spangler! When he’s not helping you with your builds, delivering boats, and everything in between, this dude’s out fishing! Jeffrey took advantage of the brief American Red Snapper Season we have in the Atlantic and put the smack down on some ARS!

Since the initial launch of the 35IFC, we’ve had prospective customers come out for a ride, and after being blown away by both the ride and the performance, they say something along the lines of “So, when are you going bigger”? For the past few years, we have been focused on refining the 35IFC into the ultimate twin-powered sportfishing catamaran in the mid-30’s, but behind the scenes, we have been working out the details of the next step up….introducing, the Insetta 43IFC!
Pictured next to our current 35IFC, you can see the similarities in shear line, asymmetrical hull design, and of course – she’ll be equipped with our hydrofoil system to provide an unmatched ride and truly unrivaled performance in the 43′ Class! The 43IFC will feature dual row helm seating, an insane amount of storage (see image below), a coffin box/lounger, optional floor livewells, side dive doors, and a laundry list of options to truly make this boat your own. Interested parties can email us at sales@insetta.com, we are accepting deposits with attractive incentives for the first folks to get on the build list – so don’t hesitate to reach out to Nick or Jeffrey to discuss if the 43IFC is the right boat for you!
