The Foiling Press – May 2024 – What’s going on Insetta Fans?! We’re here with another monthly newsletter to keep you in the loop on everything that happened in the month of May here at Insetta Boatworks! Things have been great at the factory, with 3 beautiful 35IFC’s being built at the moment, our team is on the grind. We’ve finally entered the testing phase with a new 35IFC that has a bunch of cool new options on it, so without further adieu, let’s get into it:
The highly anticipated Island Turquoise boat has made her way to testing! This is the first 35IFC equipped with twin V10 Mercury 400R’s, a Seakeeper 4 Gyro stabilizer, and our new sleeper console option. Because there are so many firsts on this build, we will spend a lot of time testing and dialing this boat in. Our preliminary testing last week has already provided some impressive results, but we will continue refining until we reach peak performance. In less than two weeks, we’ll bring the boat to Mercury’s private testing facility, “Lake X,” to work with the team at Mercury to finish fine-tuning. We can’t wait to share some data soon!
Next in line is this gorgeous Pacific Blue 35IFC that recently came out of the mold. She’s now in the rigging shop, where all below-deck rigging is occurring. The hydrofoil and fuel tanks will be ready for installation shortly. Meanwhile, the liner has been infused and is being trimmed and prepped to be bonded in once all below-deck rigging is completed. The cap was also infused and released last week, and small parts are heading to the rigging shop as well.
All the hatches and a majority of small parts have been built for the next 35IFC in line. Gel coat has arrived and we will begin the process of building the hull in the near future!
Those who have been out for a sea trial or inquired about an Insetta have likely met Nick. When he’s not working on Insetta’s Sales and Marketing, he’s probably out fishing and spearfishing! Nick joined the crew aboard Hull #5 for a Bahamas trip in search of Tuna on rod and reel, and spearfishing for reef species like hogfish and grouper. The crew was lucky enough to fill the fish boxes with plenty of fish!
