The Foiling Press – October 2025 –October has been an incredibly productive month here at Insetta Boatworks! With multiple hulls moving through different production phases, testing new products, displaying at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show with over 30 sea trials on the schedule, and another water test just weeks away, the shop and sales team has been running at full throttle. Let’s take a look at everything happening behind the scenes as we grind it out in Q4!
Hull #23 – Water Tested and Tuned, Displayed at FLIBS, and Delivered!
Hull #23 hit the water in October and we were finally able to test and tune the twin 350 Hondas! They are certainly larger and heavier than what we’re used to, but at a price point competitive to the 300 V8 Mercury’s, they’re a good option for folks who want a bit more HP! We did some initial testing prior to FLIBS and were happy with the numbers, but we ended up spending some more time to dial them in after the show and dialed them in a bit more. Here’s the numbers from the initial testing:
In addition to being the first 35IFC equipped with Honda’s, this was also the first 35IFC that we deleted the rear built-in cooler/seat and instead utilized a 110 qt cooler on a slide. This freed up a solid amount of cockpit space, but still allows for a cooler and a seat to be used when needed. We did sacrifice a bit of tackle storage on the sides of the leaning post, but it is a great option for folks who want to open up the cockpit a bit more!
We’re stoked with how this build ended up – she’s equipped with dual 24″ Simrad MFD’s at the helm, open array radar, Rodan trolling motor, Optimus steering with joystick, JL audio sound system, Gemlux outriggers and components, Seafoam Green hull with black accents and white/tan/seafoam upholstery! We’re happy to have added two more options to our growing list of customizations for the Insetta 35IFC and look forward to the next two Honda 350 builds we have in the pipeline!
Hull #24: Final Assembly and Rigging!
Hull 24 made a big leap forward this month! Here’s what’s going on:
The liner and cap have been installed, and the boat is headed back to the rigging shop today for final assembly and final rigging.
Seakeeper Ride system installed (VERY excited for this) and ready to be integrated with the rest of the systems.
Hardtop pre-rigging is being wrapped up, and the leaning post and coffin box have completed pre-rigging and are staged for installation.
The console metalwork is bonded, and the team is finishing up console pre-rigging.
The console, leaning post, coffin box, and hardtop assembly will be bonded next week.
The upper station box is prepped and ready for rigging.
The tower is currently out for powder coat, and the boat’s first water test is scheduled in three weeks.
This one is getting close and it’s looking phenomenal, things move very quickly from this point as she will be assembled and hitting the water soon for testing and fine tuning! Because she’s also equipped with the Honda 350’s, we should have a great starting point with the data obtained from the last build so testing should be swift and easy.
Hull #25: Major Fiberglass Parts Nearly Finished, Moving to Rigging!
Hull 25 has been moving quickly through the build timeline:
The hull is released, in final finishing, and will head to the rigging shop next week.
Both liner and cap are complete, with all compartments bonded and each scheduled for release next week.
The console is out of final finishing and is having its liner bonded today.
The hardtop is bonded, trimmed, and now entering final finishing.
The leaning post has completed final finishing and is having the teak-island cutouts machined.
The coffin box is in final finishing, along with a wide batch of small parts, hatches, compartments, and accessories—all complete and ready for install.
We’ve got a few firsts up our sleeve for this build and she is going to be the 2nd Insetta 35IFC this customer has built with us (the color scheme may give you a hint). You’ll be seeing a lot of this boat on social media and on display at some major boat shows in the future, so stay tuned!
Hull #26: Hull Infusion and more!
Hull 26 is scooting along and has recently had a major milestone, hull infusion!
The hull was infused yesterday, bringing the entire structure to life.
The console is complete and being picked up today for pre-rigging work (this boat is being built for Tony Eden, owner of Boattronics). This is the first time we’ve let a customer rig their own boat, but it is a unique circumstance considering he does this for a living! Tony has some crazy plans for the electronics on this boat…keep your eyes peeled for updates on his socials and ours!
The leaning post is released and receiving cutouts before heading into final finishing.
The coffin box is in final finishing, and the hardtop is complete and ready for rigging.
The last four bulkheads are being gelled and skinned today in preperation for infusion.
A large batch of small parts have completed final finishing and are ready for assembly.
This is going to be an exciting build with a lot of firsts and a special “Boattronics” touch from Tony, you don’t want to miss this one!
Hull #27: Initial Phases of Production
The next hull in line is gearing up for its opening batch of components:
Small parts, console, leaning post, coffin box, hardtop, and some additional componentsare set to be gelled and skinned next Tuesday.
